Six members of the Now South Wales team, who were delayed .in Sydney, arrived by the Ulimaroa today, and are proceeding to Dunedir. to-night. Mr. L. Simpson is unable (o referee the first test match, and Mr. J. Eckhold of Dunedin lias now been appointed to take the game. Mr. J. O’Leary. Tiinaru, lias been appointed to referee for the New South Wales —Southland match.
TOURNEY FOR THE KOHN SHIELD,
CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday,
The annual lUigby football tourney between teams representing Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch Tramwaymen for the Kolin Shield was opened at Lancaster Park to-day, when the two visiting teams met. After a hard fought struggle in the mud, Wellington beat Auckland by 13 points to 0.
