MOTUMAHAO.
The Factory. The makng of cheese was started at our factory at the beginning of the month, and large quantities of milk are now being received. Hay is still being fed to the cows everywhere, the grass so far not showing mucli signs of starting to grow. The heavy frosts we had lately would have checked it. Sickness. There has been, in common with most other places, a great deal of sickness during the past few weeks, very few homes having escaped one or more ill, and in some cases whole families have been affected. The school was not closed but numbers of the children nave been absent, and the headmaster, Mr Kelly, was away ill lor several days.
