ROAD BOARD MERGING.
PROPOSAL AT HUNTLY
JOINING UP WITH WAIKATO
Consideration is now being given by the Hunlly Road Board in the direction of merging its area iu the Waikato County.
At yesterday's meeting of the Council three ratepayers of the Htintly Road Board petitioned to have (heir properlies transferred lo Taupiri riding of the county. The clerk said that there wore two other ratepayers who wished to come in.
The movement in the direction of merging tlie whole of Ihe board's district was referred to and the clerk was instructed lo supply all particulars to Ihosc who were moving in that direction.
The peiitioning settlers are lo be advised of Ihe steps now in progress in the wider area which will lake in their territory.
