The first challenge of the season for the Northern Union Cup, which is held by South Auckland, will be played at Steele Park on Saturday afternoon. - Wellington is the challenging team, and a fast and open contest is promised. Tile selectors have chosen the following team to represent South Auckland: —Pull back, Tonga Mahuta; three-quarters, D. Johnston, G. Jacques, W. Whelan; five-eighths, F. Jackson and L. Stewart; half, T. Peckhnn; forwards, Tut Wilson . (captain), S. Rayner, A. Payne, S. Neill, R. Stephenson, M. Allen. Reserves: J. Davies and Roy Row (backs),. T. Gawn and Pat Miki (forwards).
