By Telegraph.—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The C.J.C. Grand National Meeting opened in fine weather, and with a large attendance. The track is in good order, having dried up well during the last week. Results: — Hunters’ Hurdles, 1J miles. —Carawock (11.1) 1, Paul Pry (10.7) 2, Phil May (11.12) 3. All started. Won by four lengths. Time, 3.22. Trial Hurdles, If miles.— Vagabond (11.3) 1, Malingerer (10.9) 2, Rowan (9.10) 3. All started. Won by a length. Time, 3.18. Cashmere Plate, 6 furlongs.—Tiff (9.0) 1, Hillock (10.0) 2, Courcellc (10.0) 3.. Scratched: Birwick, Blazes, Geranial, Primeira, Silo, Winkle’s Best. Won by a length. Time, 1.17. Jumpers’ Flat, 14 miles. —Tinokaha (9.0) 1, Red Gown (10.3) 2, Peter Amans (9.0) 3. Scratched; Poanui and Omahu. Won by a length. Time, 2.40 2-5.
