HOCKEY.
LADIES' GAMES,
The ladies' competition was continued on Saturday, when Old Girls met School B, and School A met Scotts.
Old Girls (5) V. School B (0). The winners were responsible for some good hockey, and generally held the upper hand. Their work in the circle was very sound, while School were unable to finish off their efforts. For the winners Misses V. Cann (2), A. Newell (2) and Murray (1) scored. Mr Du Flou rofereed.
High School A (7) v. Scotts' (1). Scotts took the field two short, which upset their •combination altogether. School played good hockey, and developed their attacks in a clean manner, 'taking well, into the circle on numerous occasions. Scotts defended well for a time, but towards the end tired considerably, while school kept hammering away merrily. The first spell ended 3 —l in School's favour. In the second session the winners kept at it with a will, and added four more goals. Miss 'N. McMiken, who scored 0 goals for School, was an outstanding player. Miss Murray (1) also scored for school, and Miss Erickson for Scotts. Mr K. P. Bade refcreed.
