GOOD USE FOR USED STAMPS.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Some eight years ago you were good enough to publish an appeal by me for used stamps. The collection of such stamps and their realisation has steadily proceeded ever since, and we have realised from this source no less a sum than £lB6 16s. During our last financial year the stamps sold returned us £42 15s 6d, by far the largest amount received in any one year. But we want to do even better 1 We feel sure that many of your readers would gladly assist in- this work, hence the -further letter. Quite a number of private people, as well as many of -our business firms, tear off the stamps from their correspondence parcels, etc., and send them to us, -and we cordially invite others to -share in this effort. Stamps may he sent -to my office, or to Mr E. G. Wiltshire, Te Awamutu, who cleans, sorts, and disposes of them on our account without fee or charge. THOS. E. WHITTON. Secretary and Treasurer, Manurewa Children's Home, Auckland.;
