«. * PROMISED REDUCTIONS. STILL UNDER CONSIDERATION. (By Telegraph—Speoial to Times.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. Mr H. Masters (Stratford) asked the Minister of Railways whether, in view of the statement by the Prime Minister, and which was subsequently confirmed by the Minister of Agriculture, that there would be a reduction of railway freights on dairy produce, the Minister bad yet come to a definite conclusion as to the amount of reduction in the railway tariff or the date when the new rates would come into operation. The Minister replied that the matter was still under the consideration of the Government.
