KAIPAKI MAIL.
THE AFTERNOON "DELIVERY. TO BE RESUMED NEXT MONDAY. Owing to 'the very wretched state of many of the roads in the Waikato, due to the excessive rains, delivery of mails has been seriously hampered, particularly those in the rur.d areas. Even in the town of Hamilton itself, the postmen in certain suburbs have had recourse to horseback in order to do their rounds. At Kaipaki the delivery of the mail had to be altered from the afternoon to the morning, to enable the contractor to get over his district before darkness set in. Many of the settlers, however, found the morning delivery extremely Inconvenient, as it meant that the mail which came up by the afternoon train to Ohaupo did not reach them until the following day. They will now be pleased to learn that, commencing on Monday next, the afternoon delivery will be resumed.
