BODY FOUND IN DRAIN.
FATALITY AT MORRINSVILLE. (Special to Times.) MORRIN3ILLE, Monday. Mr A. Peebles, a carpenter employed by Messrs Watts and Brayshaw, building a house for Mr Barnett, at Tahuna, according to his usual custom, left work at 8 a.m. on Saturday to return to his home at Morrinsville for the week-end. Owing to the wet -weather he was compelled to wade through heavily flooded .areas, and he has not been seen or hoard of since. His-two mates left four hours aftenvards, but did not see any trace of him. Grave fears are entertained as to his safety, and a search parly yesterday left Morrinsville, headed by Constable Jackson, to search for the missing man. So far the search has been without result. The search party which left Morrinsville in search of tho missing man, A. Peebles, who had not been seen since. leaving Taliuna on Saturday morhing, at 12 o'clock to-day established the fact that he had been drowned, cs was feared, Mr A. Ferguson, one of deceased's workmates, discovering his body in a drain, 7ft. deep, near Tahuna, which he had to cross. His watch had stopped at 8.20, indicating that the unfortunate man must have been drowned almost immediately after leaving work on .Saturday morning. ' i He leaves a wife and three children.
