NATIONAL BANK.
DIVIDEND OF 14 PER CENT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. LONDON, January 28. The annual report of the National Bank of New Zealand shows a profit of £370,807. The directors propose to write off £20,000 on the premises account, to transfer £IO,OOO to the reserve fund and £22,000 as a pension and a gratuity fund, and to pay a dividend on the year of 12 per cent, with a bonus of 2 per cent, both tax free. The amount remaining to toe carried forward will be £145,567. PROFITS FOR LAST YEAR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Monday. In reference to a cable stating that the National Bank’s profit were £370,BC7, the Barfk states that the profits for the half year amounted to £228,746, which included £142,121 brought forward from the previous year, making the total as above. This amount is £16,000 more than for the previous year, but the bank has had the use of £450,000 new capital.
