SALE OF JERSEYS.
GOOD COMPETITION. HEIFER REALISES 185 GUINEAS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. PALMERSTON N., Saturday. A sale of pedigree Jersey stock was held at Te Matai.yesterday on account of Mr S. R. Lancaster. Buyers were present from all parts of the North Island, also one from Melbourne, whose purchases were limited to two animals at moderate figures.- The top price of the sale, 185 guineas, was paid by Mr H. J. Lancaster for the heifer, Golden Maiden. There was good competition for the better quality entries, and only a small proportion were passed in. The highest price paid for a stud bull was 85 guineas. ,
