Hall Committee. The annual meeting of the Hall Committee was held on Monday, lfth June, Mr S. A. Ferguson presiding. The secretary presented the balance sheet for the past year and explained the various items, and this was adopted.

It was proposed that last year’s committee be re-appointed with the exception of Mr. J. C, Chapman, who has left the district, subject to the approval of those who were absent from the meeting, and the secretary was instructed to call a full meeting of the committee.

It was decided that the charge for admission to the euchre socials be — ladies a basket, men 2s; and for all other socials the charge to be fixed by the committee.

Mr S. A. Ferguson Vfr&s appointed chairman of the committee, Messrs T. Stark and A. Squire to be M’s.C. Mr W. Squire to have charge of the music and lights. With these alterations last year’s arrangements to be continued. Votes of thanks were passed to Messrs W. and A, Squire, the secretary, and to the ladles who had so ; gerierousiy assisted the Hall Committee in their duties. School Committee Meeting. The 'usual monthly meeting of the school committee was held in the school on Monday evening, 18th inst., there being present Messrs G. Gibbs (chairman), \V. J. Winter, G. Spencer and J. B. Chapman, i Various accounts were passed for payment. Mr J. B. Chapman tendered his resignation from the committee owing to his leaving the district, and Mr C. C. Bluett was appointed in his place. It was decided lo write to the Board asking for assistance toward the purchase of another maypole and horizontal bars. Farewell. At the euchre social on Friday evening last .occasion was taken to say farewell to Mr and Mrs J. B. Chapman and family, who arc shortly leaving for the South. Mr W. F. Stark voiced the good wishes of the residents, and Mr Chapman suitably replied. The Faotory. Suppliers are only delivering milk every other day now, and it has been decided to keep the factory running in this way right through, which is a great convenience. At the recent grading competitions held In connection with the Waikato Winter Show, two of our assistants were successful in winning first and second 'prizes in both classes, Messrs Bluett and Harris tied for first place in the butter, grading, and Mr Harris was first and Mr Bluett second in the cheese grading.
