SCHOOL FOR MELVILLE.
APPLICATION REFUSED. REPLY FROM -MINISTER. Word has been received in Hamilton ,rrom the Minister of Education (Hon. G. J. Parr)' with reference to the proposed school at Melville, to the effect that as there is a school within four miles, and another within two miles of the distriet, neither of which are overcrowded, the Department cannot see its way to grant the request for an additional school. ,
