PERSONAL.
The Governor-General, Viscount JelUcoe, will leave Wellington on July 3 for Hawera, where he will open the local Winter Show. Rev. and Mrs Metcalfe, missionaries from the Solomon Islands in connection with the Methodist Church, are visiting Hamilton, and will remain here until Tuesday. / Mr W. J. Forsythe, who for some years has been in the Hamilton branch of the Public Trust Office, left last night on transfer to the Wanganui branch, where he will take up the position of chief clerk. The Rev. H. L. Blamires, Nelson, and Mrs Blamires will shortly start off on a motor-car tour of several months’ duration. After a holiday spent in this pleasant manner, Mr Blamires will do some lecturing, taking New Zealand as his subject; but the main purpose Of the trip is holiday and rest from work. A visit to the Continent will'be included In an interesting round of travel.— London correspondent.
