THE TWELVE-MILE LIMIT. LIQUOR UNDER BOND. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. LONDON, June 18. Mr Ronald McNeill, Under-Secretary of Foreign Affairs, replying to a qucslion in the House of Commons, said that the Government was considering a proposal by the American Government to conclude a. treaty for the purpose of enforcing the prohibition of liquor by allowing American Customs officials to search vessels within the twelve-miles limit, in return for which the United Stales is prepared to allow the transport ■ of supplios -of liquor under seal in American waters. There was no question of interfering with international law in territorial waters.
