Euchre Tournament. The third session of the euchre i tournament was held in the hall on Wednesday evening, and was well ! patronised. Sixteen games were playl ed, the winners being Miss I. Mitchell (12) and Mr V. Brunton (14), while I consolation awards were made to Miss T. Nicol (4) and Mr D. Mitchell (6). A very enjoyable dance followed, the music for which was supplied by Mr Hooper, Mrs and Miss .Slathers supi plying extras. The Hall. j At last a determined effort is being | made lo enlarge and renovate our j public hall. After the euchre tournament a ladies' meeting was held for the purpose of organising a huge bazaar to help out the general scheme. The following committee was formed: Mrs Mathers (chairwoman), Mrs S. Dunn (secretary), Mesdames Hunt, T. Nicol, Cotter, Marwood, Eason, N. Nicol, C. Nicol, Weatherley, Stewart, Handlcy, Taylor, Gillespie, and Misses O'Connor, Mitchell, Mathers, I. Mit--1 chcll, Jamieson, Booth and T. Magner. Working bees will be immediately instituted and the bazaar held during the coming winter. The School. Mr Moshier, the Inspector from ' Canada, spent tire day on Tuesday last | in inspecting our schools.
