LEPROSY OR LUNACY?
PATEAITE’S HALLUCINATION. 9f Telegraph.—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Health Department has been having some correspondence with a resident of Patea, who insists that he is a leper and demands to be sent to Quaile Island. Enquiries showed that the gentleman was one whose, malady varied' from week to week, his latest fancy being for leprosy. Finally lie telegraphed offering to pay his ex. ponses to Quaile Island, and wanted a berth booked. The Department finally decided that he will never see the island, hut he may have to seek another Government institution.
