OBITUARY.
THE EARL OF PLYMOUTH. (Australian and N.Z. Coble Assn > LONDON, March 6. The Earl of Plymouth died suddenly after attending a levee at St. James' Palace. The Earl of Plymouth, who was 65 years of age, was Paymaster-General from 1891 to 1892 and First Commissioner of Works from 1902 to 19.05. He was the 14th Baron Windsor, and was created an earl'in 1905. GENERAL SIR OWEN THOMAS. (Australian and N.Z cable Assn.) LONDON, March 6. The death is announced of Briga-dier-General Sir Owen Thomas, Independent M.P. for Anglesey. General Sir Owen Thomas raised and commanded the Prince of Wales Light Horse in the South African war, and raised 10 service battalions of the. Royal Welsh Fusiliers in North Wales in 1914-15, He was elected to Parliament in idlS as a Labour suporter of the Coalition, but stood at the. last general election as an independent.
