HAMILTON STOCK SALE.
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—At Hamilton on Tuesday we had an average yarding of all classes of - stock,- and have to report very satisfactory re-! suits. About 1000 sheep were penned, and all sold at values considerably la advance of late rates. Fat wethers (light weights) made from 27s to 295, forward woolly wethers 27s 6d to 30s, four and six-tooth woolly ewes 29s 6d to 30s, full-mouthed ewes (woolly) 255, store woolly hoggets 23s 9d to 255, weedy sorts 15s, f.m. rams 19s. A lino of f.m. ewes with 97i per cent lambs sold under brisk competition at 375. Fat cattle sold much on the basis of last week’s values, if anything a little better. Steers made from £6 10s to £8 6s, cows £4 4s to £5 14s, forward cows £2 15s to £3 10s.' Forward bullocks were again in good demand, selling from £5 5s to £5 12s, store bullocks £4 12s, cows (stores) with veal calves at fool £3 2s. Store cow’s sold under better competition, making up to £2 5s for young small framed sorts; bulls at late rates. -A full yarding of pigs was offered, and prices for heavy baconers ? again showed an advance on last week's rates, also a slight improvement in the weaners and slips was noticeable. Heavy baconers, £3 10S to £3 18s, medium £2 17s to £3 ss, good porkers to light baconers £2 8s to £2 15s, medium porkers £2 to £2 ss, light and unfinished 23s to 38s, slips 25s to 30s, best weaners 15s to-.',' 18s, others 10s to 13s. For the dairy?cattle penned there was a fair enquiry, cows and heifers, nothing of much quality, making up to £8 10s.
