RECENT STABBING
CHARGE OF ATTEMPTED-MURDER. By Telegraph—Press Association. GISBORNE, Friday. As a sequel to the stabbing at Matawhero on August 19, George Robert Monkhouse, aged 68, was charged at the Police Court this morning withhaving attempted to murder William Campbell. Accused was arrested this morning et the hospital, where he had been under treatment for his own injury. A remand until September 5 was granted.
