HAMILTON SALE. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report: At Hamilton, yesterday, the cattle yards were taxed to their limits, but the entry of sheep was small. Reef, of which there was a plentiful supply, declined in value; although the quality was an improvement on the previous week. Many pens were passed in, those sold making £9 to £ll 10/- for the best bullocks: medium weights, £0 10/- to £8 1/-. Fat cows reached £5 10/- for heavy weights, lighter sorts £3 10/- to £4 10/-. There was a very large entry of grown steers in forward and store "condition. Although values were low, they were all, without exception, sold under competition or disposed of privately afterwards. Rest 4-year made from £5 5/- to £0 4/-; second quality, £4 10/- to £5; 3-year steers from £4 to £i 10/-: 2-year steers, £2 10/- to'£3. Empty store cows were in smaller numbers than usual, and sold at late rates, making from 20/- to 35/-. There was a considerable entry of empty dairy heifers, and here again values declined; 18months to 2-year made from £'i 12/6 to £5 14/-; best yearlings, £3 5/- to £4: smaller sorts. 35/- to £2 10/-. Yearling steers were also much easier, making from £1 to £t 7/0; small and Inferior, 10/- to 15/-. Dairy cows, close to profit, were in good demand, making to £ls 10/- for the best, inferior quality from £4 10/-. Rest heifers made up to £!) 10/-; inferior from £4. Sheep were in small supply, practically no fats being yarded. Hoggets sold at IG/3; store wethers. 14/0. A line of rather ragged ewes and lambs made 13/-. Fat pigs were much on a par with last week's values, whilst stores were in better demand. Baconers made to £5 4/-: porkers, £2 12/6 to £3 5/-; store pigs, £1 7/6 to £2 11/-; weaners. 'J/- to 17/6.
