THE FLAG INCIDENT
FRICTION IN THE OFFICE. LORD MAYOR AND TOWN CLERK. (United Press Association.) SYDNEY, October 13. , The Town Clerk of Sydney reported that lie had a difference with the Lord Mayor over his refusal to substitute the Australian flag for the Union Jack on the occasion of Mr Storey’s death, and asked to be relieved of the responsibility for flying the flag. The Finance Committee deferred consideration of the report.
