UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEM
OVERSEAS SETTLEMENT. BIG SCHEME OF EMIGRATION. (Reuter’s Telegrams.) Received October 14, 9.20 a.m. LONDON, October 12. In ■ regard to Unemployment, it is understood that the Government is considering a big scheme of emigration for overseas settlement within the Empire, probably involving a grant to assist it, but consultations with the Dominions Governments are necessary.
