JPEACE LEAGUE PROROSED ADMINISTRATION OF SAMOA. POLICY AMPLY JUSTIFIED. (United Press Association.) Received October 14, 0- A 5 a.m. SYDNEY, October 14. The Herald publishes an interview with Mr Tennant, a member of the Samoan Legislative Council, who is visiting Sydney, in which he favours Pacific Islands co-operation, and, as a, matter for secondary consideration, the establishment of a Pacific League to preserve peace- He does not think the suggested Pacific conference is at present" advisable, but it might come later when the preliminary matters are settled. Mr Tennant strongly supported the work of the present administration, and declared that when the depression now temporarily affecting Samoa has passed away, New Zealand’s policy will be seen to be amply justified.
