HAMILTON SALE. The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report;— At Hamilton yesterday we had an average yarding of all classes of stock, the whole of which was cleared. There was a full supply of beef, which sold under better competition than the previous week. The bulk of it. however, was of plain quality, steers making from £7 15s to £9 17s Gd; lighter weights, £5 14s to £7 10s: cows from £5 to £7; store cattle showed considerable improvement, empty cowa especially being much in advance of recent values. Two-year empty tieifers, medium quality, made to £5 Os: yearlings, £3 14s to £4 10s; smaller sorts £2 5s to £2 17s Gd. Dairy cattle were yarded in good numbers and sold under ready competition. Dost heifers made to £l7. medium quality £7 to £11; low conditioned and inferior quality, £3 to £5 1 Os. Pigs were again in strong evidence, fats selling at about last week’s rates, but under steadier competition. Store and weaner pigs fully recovered the ground lost last week. Baconers made to £5 ss, porkers £2 12s Od to £3 15s, store pigs £2 15s to £3; good slips, £1 10s to £2 7s Gd; woaners, 8s to £1 ss.
