SILESIAN PROBLEM

THE LEAGUE'S REPORT UNEASINESS IN GERMANY; MIDNIGHT CABINET MUTINY. (Australian, and N.Z. Cable Assn.) GENEVA, October 11. The Council of the League of Nations, has already officially communicated its report on Silesia to both Franc; and England. The report is said to have asked for certain modifications. Under the new frontier Bcuthen will remain German whilst Konigshutte becomes Polish. Received October 12, 5.30 p.m. LONDON, October 12. The Daily Chronicle Berlin correspondent reports thai there is great uneasiness at Wilhclmstrasse regarding Upper Silesia. A general feeling prevails that the improvement between Germany and her neighbours is about to be nullified. Hcrr Wirth, the Chancellor, returned unexpectedly to Berlin and held a midnight meeting of the Cabinet, regarding Silesia. Another meeting took place at 11 in the morning and a third in the evening. If Germany loses more than the Pless and the Rybuik districts the result will be fatal to the Wirth administration, and it will resign. Amicable relations between Germany and the rest of Europe will then be impossible for a generation. Dr. Sthamer, the British Ambassador, has been instructed to inform Britain, for serious results will follow the partition for the Silesian industrial reform.
