4_ (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. New Governmont Bills. Four new Government Bills were introduced in the House. The most important of them, the Conciliation and Arbitration Act Amendment Bill and- the Cook Islands Amendment Bill, have not yet been circulated. Private members' Bills occupied the House during the afternoon and evening. The Banking Amendment Bill, which deals with banking hours, was passed. The Samoan Bill. The House considered the Samoa i Bill in committee. The Labour members opposed the Bill, and some Opposition members had suggestions for amendment. The Minister agreed to portions of the Bill to the Native .Affairs Committee for consideration, in order that the interests of the Samoan natives might be guarded. The Bill is largely identical in terms with the Samoan Ordcr-in-Council, under which administration is proceeding at, the present time. The Divorce Laws. Mr Massey remarked, when the clause regarding divorce was under discussion, that New Zealand's divorce laws required consideration. "Wo went lon far last year," he said. "We will have to reconsider the divorce laws of this country."
