COMPENSATION AWARDED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received October 9, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, October 8. The Sessions awarded Lord Randan £01.905 for the Sinn Fein burning Castle Bernard, and £45,691 for the destruction of furniture. Lady Bandon also receiving another £14,072. Lord Bandon was awarded £I4OO as compensation for personal injuries through kidnapping. Mr John McCabe, an ex-service man, has been awarded compensation for injuries inflicted by the members of the R.A. Mr McCabe told the Court that he was first decoyed by the I.R.A, chained, imprisoned, thrice shot, labelled “spy” and left as dead. Me afterwards crawled to safety.
