BOXING
THE NEW ZEALAND TEAM, A GLOWING TRIBUTE, (United Press Association.) Received October 8, 1.25 p.tn. SYDNEY, October 8. At the presentation of the boxing championships, the chairman, Mr V. Horniman, in congratulating the New' Zealand team, doubted whether such a magnificently trained team had previously visited Australia. Ho complimented the members on their physical condition, splendid appearance in the ring, and fine display of boxing. The team had set standards for other states in all these directions. There were no flukes about the wins, which were secured by superior boxing ability. Replying, the manar ■ slated that no team could have doin' more in the effort to attain complete physical form in order to unhold the honour of the Dominion.
