DEATH OF AN INFANT
MOTHER CHARGED WITH MURDER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. INVERCARGILL, October 10. An inquest was held at Queenstown into the death of the illegitimate child of a domestic servant. Evidence was to the effect that death was due to suffocation caused by bruises on the throat. The Coroner returned a verdict of “culpable homicide,’’ and the mother was remanded on a charge of murder.
