PUBLIC SECURITIES.
Format returns relating to the sinking funds and the public securities field in the Dominion or elsewhere were presented to the House of Representatives. In regard to the sinking funds the report is that nothing in the proceedings of the year has occurred calling for special remark by the Commissioners. The totals of the public securities belonging to the undermentioned offices and held in the Dominion on March 31 last were;— Post Office, £44,847,218. Government Insurance Office, £4,493,284. Public Trust Office, £15,375,111. Stale Advances Office, £15,361,162. Commissioners of Public Debts Sinking Funds. £312,060. State Fire Insurance, £298,084. ; The Treasury, £8,798,028. ! Total, £89,484,947. The total of the Public Trust securities include £1,503.821 in respect of the Public Service Superannuation Fund, and £640,144 in resbeet of the Teachers’ Superannuation Fund.
