QUESTIONS IN THE HOUSE. EARLY STATEMENT PROMISED. (By Telegraph—Special to Times). WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Mr Massey took his seat in the House to-day. mid was given a hearty round of applause by members. He was called on to answer questions almost at once.
Mr Ilanan Unvercargill) wanted to know if the £500,000 of German money brought back by Mr Massey would lie applied to the reduction of the war debt?
The Prime Minister replied that he would discuss this mailer and other matlcrs fully in a statement to the House shortly. He mentioned that the half-million was not reparation money, but was payment made by Germany on account of the cost, of maintaining New Zealand troops on German territory after the armistice.
