FREIGHT RATES

ON BUTTER AND CHEESE. NO REDUCTION EXPECTED. ■ (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The question of freight rates on butter and cheese was discussed yesterday at the conference of representatives of the dairy factories and associations Of the Dominion and representatives of export houses and shipping interests. No report of the proceedings x was furnished to the press. It is understood, however, that it is unlikely that there will be any reduction in freight rates at the present time, but that the whole position will be reviewed in January of next year.
