JAPANESE STRIKE ENDED
. $, WORKERS' CRUSHING DEFEAT. A BLOW AT ORGANISED UNIONS. (Australian and N.Z. Gable Assn.) TOKIO, July 27. The strike at the Kawasaki dockyards. Kobe, lias apparently ended in ihe crushing defeat of the strikers. Thirty per cent of the workers have returned to Ihe shops unconditionally, and the remainder are expected to return shortly. These workers are the most skilled class in Japan, and arc in a favourable position to enforce their demands. Their defeat, therefore, is considered a blow against, the rigid lo organise unions.
