REDUCED WAGES
MEETING OF CARPENTERS. Bv Telegraph.—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Monday. A meeting of between 40 and 50 Wellington carpenters, who left their Jobs en receiving notice from their employers, that in future not more than 2s Od-.per hour would be paid, was held o.'l Saturday. The union secretary said I are was nothing to report, but another meeting would be held to-day. II is stated that a number of the men submitted to the n duction and others co) fresh jobs at a rate in cxeesf of tin' stipulated 28 fill.
