Mr 11. E. Pacey was a passenger from Hamilton by last night's south bound .Main Trunk express.
The death is snnounoed of Sir James Prendergast, ex-Chief Justice of New Zealand, aged 95. ■ The Prime Minister, Mr W. F. Massey, passed through Frankton last night on the Auckland-Wellington Mam Trunk express.
Dr. Douglas was re-elected to the Board of Governors of the Hamilton High School. No other nomination was received.
Mr H. M. Gore, of Wellington, has resigned from the management committee, of which he was chairman of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association.
The members of the Marie TempestGraham Browne Comedy Company arrived in Hamilton from Auckland today, and will appear at the Theatre Royal to-night in "The Marriage of Kitty."
Miss Ray Fox, of Hamilton, left for Wellington by the Main Trunk express on Sunday night. She will give a violin recital in the Wellington Town Hall concert chamber next week.
Mr A. Boyce was in Hamilton on Saturday arranging for the presentation of the picture, Jack London's "Sea Wolf," at the Theatre Royal, on Thursday next.
M. Ludowski is in Hamilton arranging preliminaries for the appearance at the Theatre Royal on March 7, 8 and 9 of the Russian violinist, DanTTTi Ludowski and the Ludowski family of musicians.
His Excellency the Governor-General, Viscount Jellicoe, and LRdy Jellicoe, v.th their suite, passed through Frankten by the Main Trunk express from Auckland to Wellington last night. A cable message from London states that Lord Mllner was quietly married at I'addinglon Church to Lady Violet Cecil, widow of the late Lord Edward Cecil. The engagement was a secret one. Only four persons witnessed the marriaga c< rernony.
