IMPORTED ARTICLE IN FAVOUR. INCREASED CONSUMPTION. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON, February 22. A remarkable increase in the consumption of imported meat last year is disclosed in Weddel's Review. This la largely attributed to the fact that the troops acquired a taste for it in wartime, and now prefer it to the homegrown. '1 hero Is a similar tendency on the Continent. Tiie Review adds that statistics indicate that the (locks and herds of the world have not expanded since 190". The United States, Canada, and even Australia, appear to have reached the exporting limits, and the demand for meat is overtaking supplies. This is partly due to the increase in the while populations and an Improved standard of living.
