MURDER MUST STOP. GENERAL MACRKADY'S PROCLAMATION. General Sir Nevil Macready, Com-mander-in-Chief in Ireland, has issued the following proclamation in the counties of Cork, Tippcrary, Kerry, and Limerick, where martial law has been declared: — Irishmen! Understand this: Great Britain has no quarrel with Irishmen; her sole quarrel is with crimo, outrage, and disorder: her sole object in declaring martial law is to restore peace to a distracted and unhappy country: her sole enemies are those who have countenanced, inspired, and participated in rebellion, murder, and outrage.

It is to put an end, once and for all, to this campaign of outrage that martial law lias been declared. The authorities named in the schedule hereto annexed are hereby appointed military governors for the administration of martial law in (lie above counties, and all persons will render obedience to their orders in all matters whatsoever. Note this: (a; All arms, ammunitions, and explosives, in possession of any person not a member of [jjs Majesty's Naval. Military, Air, or Police Forces, or who is not in possession of a permit, will bs surrendered by December 27. i'J'2o, to such persons and at such places as are named in the "2nd Schedule hereto annexed. ■ b After December 27, 1020, any unauthorised person found in possession of iirnis, ammunition, or explosives will be liable, on conviction by a Military Courl, to suffer Death.
