# THE DEADLY MOTOR. YOUNG I-AD KILLED. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. At the corner of Tory street and Courtenay Place at 8 p.m. yesterday, a 12-year-old hoy named Jack Urayndlcr, while pushing his bicycle along, was k-iocked down by a motor car. lie sustained a fracture of the left leg and very severe injuries to his head. lie was la-moved t'i the hospital, where lie died d.t G.JU this morning. A NARROW ESCAPE. CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Albert Barwiek, of Woolston, who was holiday-making at Arthur's Pass, when returning from a visit to a glacier slipped on the" rocks, and tell into the river, lie was found twenty-two hours later unconscious, and removed to the ChristehiirclHiospilal, where he is progressing favourably.
