INSURANCE OFFICERS
CONFERENCE OF GUILD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. WELLIXI tTI IN, Wednesday. The Insurance Officers' Guild has eoccluded the first annual Dominion Conference. Mr E. E. Hammond pregided, ami delegates from four centres were present. Mr Hammond referred to the progress of the Guild, inclusive of members of fire, marine and accident staffs, and the hope was expressed that the life seotien would join. The conference resolved to heartily support the movement for the federation of guilds. Considerable time was devoted to the educational aspect of the guild movement, and a committee w* appointed to confer with other guilds in reference to a scheme of commercial education and co-operating with the University. The elections resulted: —President. Mr E. V.. Hammond (Wellington) : vicepresidents, Messrs 11. Clay Auckland-. c 11. S. Stonycr (Christcliurch), and G. T. Dawson (Dunedin). Mr 11. P. Mourant was re-appointed general secretary
