UNITED STATES' NAVY
OPPOSITION TO HOLIDAY. TILL PROGRAMME 13 COMPLETED. (Australian and .N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received February 4, 8.5 p.m. WASHINGTON, February 3. The General Navy Board has issued a report which declares that the United States must continue battleships until the navy equals the strongest. It would be the height of unwisdom for the United States to pin her faith on aircraft or submarines as having replaced the battleship. No rest period or limitation of armaments should be agreed to until the United States lias completed her programme.
