FUNDING A DEBT

It is officially explained that it provides for funding £92,000,000, including £-19,000.000 In cash advances by the Imperial Government to the Commonwealth for war expenditure, £35.000,000 paid by the Imperial Go-, vernment for the maintenance of Australians on service, £8,000,000 by the Ministry of Shipping for Admiralty charges for transport and other services. The Commonwealth has contracted to provide annual payments, including interest and sinking fund, averaging 6 per cent of the whole indebtedness.
