That tile housing dilemma applies no! only to Britain is revealed in a world survey issued lay (he housing department of the Ministry of Health, which states that Canada’s shortage is 50,000, Switzerland’s 35,000, and Norway’s 2!\000. Australia, New Zealand and South Africa are also affected, but not to file same extent. Italy, Sweden an I Holland have taken national action to meet tiie shortage. In the United Slates flic shortage of 2,000,000 dwellings lias produced a serious situation, especially in New York.
