SERVICES RECOGNISED
SIR W. FRASER HONOURED. Bv Telegraph.—Press Association. DUNK DIN, Thursday. Recognition of the long period of service rendered by Sir William Fraser as member for Wakatipu was made at Cromwell last evening by his former constituents of all political shades in Otago Central and I'ppor Balclwlha and the Cromwell districts. The function took the form of a banquet, at which Sir William was presented with an elaborate illuminated address in album form, detailing Ids services as a member extending over 26 years and referring to his elevation to Ministerial rank and the straightforward and honourable manner in which he controlled the departments under his charge. Fir William Fraser returned thanks in an appreciative and reminiscent speech, during which he sounded a note of warning for economy and increased production.
