GERMAN THOROUGHNESS
OFFICERS IN AMERICAN ARMY. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received December D, 9 - .15 a.m. NEW YORK, December 8. Lieut. Willett, of. the American army, has confessed that his real name is Hans Willers, He was a cadet in the German army until 1914, when, with 300 other cadets, he was sent to the United States to join the army and become officers. Willers did not serve in France, his identity ‘having been discovered when the Secret Service investigated his career following his desertion with funds belonging to his company.
