PERSONAL
Mr W. 11. Booth, of Carterton, a wellknown stock breeder and Judge, who Lad been spending a few days in Hamilton and the Waikato, accompanied by Mrs Booth, left for the south last night. Mr M. McNicol, a member of the Palmerston North railway staff, who has been appointed stationmastcr at Rotorua, was met by members of the Palmerston North branch and presented with a travelling rug and fountain pen. A pleasing function took place at the Hamilton High School yesterday, when the members of Form 111. Commercial presented Mr R. H. Macgregor, their form master, with a handsome silver egg stand, spoons, etc., to murk the occasion of his approaching marriage. Master A. Adams made the presentation on behalf of the boys, and. in doing V so made mention of the splendid goodwill existing between boys and master. Mr Macgregor returned his cordial C- the present and sentiments expressed.
