SCHOOLS OF NEW ZEALAND MATCH HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL THIRD. The following are the results of New Zealand Match, which was completed by the Secondary Schools before December 1: Waitaki Boys' High School 375 New Plymouth Boys' H. 5... 323 Hamilton High. School .... 313 Napier Boys' High School .. 303 Auckland Grammar School 290 Wellington College 274 Marlborough College 239 The Waitaki High School will hold the Devenish Shield until December 1, 1921.
The Hamilton team tired the match on the Frankton Range on Saturday, November 27. The conditions were:— Five rounds Snap-shooting at 200 yards, (J rounds rapid at 300 yards and 5 rounds deliberate at 500yds. The teams consisted of 8 men. The local boys shot well, -though one or two failed to do themselves justice at different ranges. Their success in various long range matches has been largely due to the facilities placed at their disposal by the generosity of the Frankton Rifle Club, which has always allowed the School teams free use of the range for practice purposes.
