LEAGUE OF NATIONS
PROMINENT AMERICANS' STAND. (Australian and N.Z. C3ble Assn.) Received October 16, 9.30 a.m. NEW YORK, October 15. Thirty-one prominent Americans have issued n. statement, explaining their position in the political campaign. All advocate some form of International agreement to preserve peace. The statement says:—"We have reached the conclusion that the true course to bring the United States into an effective league is by frankly calling on the other nations to agree to the changes in the proposed League of Nations agreement to obviate the objections to Article X. For this course we can only look to the Republican candidate.
