ENTERTAINMENTS.
KING'S THEATRE. That bewitching young actress, Connie Talmadge, delighted another big attendance last evening in iter bright picture, "A Pair of Silk Stockings," and as to-night’s exhibition affords the last chance of seeing this smart actress it is safe to predict another big house. The biggest double bill ever shown at The King's screens to-morrow evening. Bessie Barriscale, will star in the sixacts play, "Maid of the Storm," and Jack Sherrill will lead in “Once to Every Man” in seven acts. THEATRE ROYAL. Notwithstanding the fact that ths cables announce matrimonial discord in the house of Chaplin, the famous comedian and his wife, Mildred Barria Cliaplin, will appear to-day and tonight in unison on the screen. Mildred Barris will star in her latest ’‘Jewel" superfeature, “When a Girl Loves,” and the one and only Cljarlie will once mors convulse onlookers in his great threereel funmaker, "A Dog’s Life." Pearl's "Lightning Raider" will also be shown. This programme will screen only tonight. To-morrow's star will bo Florence Reed in the great problem play, “Wives of Men.” "THE LUCK OF THE NAVY." Fresh from a two years' run at tho New and Queen’s Theatres, London, the great naval drama, "The Luck of the Navy," will be introduced by the Allan Wilkie Dramatic Company at tho Theatre Royal next Thursday evening. The plot has to do with the sensational adventures of the commander of a British submarine, who is beset by Hun spies in England. The action of the play is spirited and the dialogues are smart, while there is plenty of healthy humour. Mr Wilkie will take the part of the hero, and Miss Frediswyde Hunter-Watts will appear as the heroine Cynthia Eden. The box plan is at Paul'* Arcade.
